Locked On began as a compilation series, documenting the pirate radio sound dominating the area at that time, collected and curated at North London’s Pure Groove Records. Marrying known and future classics, Todd Edwards, Tuff Jam and Ramsey & Fen all stepped up to deliver the inaugural Locked On Vol’s 1-3.

Subsequently working alongside XL Recordings, Locked On built a reputation for their singles catalogue boasting seminal cuts including Zed Bias 'Neighbourhood', Artful Dodger’s ‘Moving Too Fast’, Wideboys 'Sambuca' and Danny J Lewis ‘Spend The Night’. It was signing The Streets that solidified the labels ever-growing legacy as the premier UK Garage record label.
